God, our Father, if we have hardened our hearts towards any of Your children, we ask Your forgiveness.
As we labor for the coming of Your kingdom, keep us ever mindful of the plight and pain of the migrant.
Help those in government, as they struggle to secure our borders, to remember the rights and human dignity of all Your children.
Give us the courage to follow Your will as we walk humbly with You and our migrant brothers and sisters towards Your kingdom.
Just as You guided the Holy Family into Egypt, we beseech You to guide and protect all migrants, acknowledging that none of Your children should have to die to live.
We ask this in the name of Jesus, Your son, Amen.
Loving God, Creator and Lord of all, Your love reaches beyond borders and boundaries to form us into one family, Your very own daughters and sons.
You have been present throughout history to those who have needed to leave their homelands: Abraham, Sarah, Ruth, and Moses. You willed that even the life of Jesus, Your Son, would be filled with unplanned travel and flight.
We ask You to open our hearts to see the face of Jesus in people of all nations and cultures. Watch over migrants, refugees, and all people on the move that they may find hope in our concern for justice and feel the warmth of our love for them as our sisters and brothers so that they will be strangers no longer.
