	The parishes and ministries throughout our Diocese, show vibrant evidence of people using their God-given gifts to serve others. A few of these ministries made possible because of your gift to the Annual Catholic Appeal include: CATHOLIC COMMUNITY SERVICES Offers life-changing assistance to families, children, victims of domestic violence, people who are elderly, poor, or with disabilities, through its six member agencies. Last year, over 173,000 people received some form of health, education, dental, social, employment, shelter, transportation and nutrition related service. CATHOLIC SCHOOL MINISTRY Supervises the education of all students attending our 22 elementary schools and 6 high schools. These children, who are essential to the life and future of the Church, are prepared and nurtured to grow in faith, excel academically, and become tomorrow’s leaders. CATECHESIS FOR CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES Focuses on living and sharing the gifts of our faith within the Church. This ministry provides resources, training, spiritual enrichment, and ministry certification for hundreds of parish lay leaders who instruct children, adolescents and families throughout the Diocese. It also facilitates special diocesan events such as youth and adult retreats, youth leadership events, teen days, and young adult ministry. LAY LEADERSHIP MINISTRY Provides educational and formation opportunities for those ministering in parishes. The elements of formation include spirituality, scripture, theology, leadership development, and skills for effective ministry in today’s Church.
